This week delivers a particularly stacked lineup—from major announcements to creative team reveals that are bringing our favorite characters to life in fresh ways.

Brand New Silent Missions

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, famed for its iconic silent storytelling issues, is bringing back the silent missions—this time with a focus on the villains of the universe. Throughout April, fans can look forward to silent mission one-shots featuring the Baroness, Crimson Guard, Zartan, Copperhead, and Firefly. These special issues promise to deliver gripping, wordless adventures that showcase the cunning and danger of Cobra's most notorious operatives, making this a must-read event for long-time fans and newcomers alike.

New Comic Series - Neighborhood Watch

Award-winning author Sarah Gailey (Know Your Station, Eat the Rich) teams up with artist Haining (Absolute Flash) for Neighborhood Watch, an all-new thriller from BOOM! Studios. This murder mystery promises an intriguing story. Neighborhood Watch #1 will also feature variant covers by Suspiria Vilchez, Jenny Frison, and Tula Lotay.
Neighborhood Watch #1 releases April 8th, 2026

New Batman Comic from Jeff Loeb!

Jeph Loeb and Jim Cheung are teaming up for a brand new Batman story. In this story, Harley Quinn and the Joker get back together to steal the Lasso of Truth. The story will tie to the Hush storyline that brings these two iconic villains together, this time with their sights set on one of the DC Universe's most powerful artifacts.

My Pick of the Week

Chip Zdarsky’s run on Captain America is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience, packed with depth, action, and emotion. The first story arc stands out as one of the best comics of 2025, and I highly recommend it to fans. With issue #6, a brand new story arc—Doom’s Shadow—begins, setting the stage for an exciting narrative that leads directly into Marvel’s highly anticipated summer event, Armageddon.
