Hey everyone, welcome to the second installment of The Comic Report where I share the most exciting news in the comic industry and personal comic highlights. Getting news about the comic world is surprisingly not as simple as one might expect, so sit down and enjoy!

Energon Universe and Something is Killing the Children are coming to television!

Perhaps the biggest announcements of the week: Skybound's Energon Universe and Something is Killing the Children are hitting screens in the future!

Skybound and Hasbro are teaming up to make an adult animated series for the Energon Universe, and I am beyond thrilled for this. A mature show like Invincible but with Transformers and G.I. Joe characters? Sign me up! No release date has been announced yet.

The incredible comic series Something is Killing the Children has been announced to be coming to both the small and big screen! Blumhouse Productions has picked up the series to develop a live-action movie and an adult animated series!

First Look at Ultimate Daredevil

The Ultimate Universe always seems to have some exciting announcement each week, like this week with Ultimate Daredevil's first appearance in Ultimate Universe: Two Years In #1."

We have very little info unfortunately, and I don't think we will be getting a true standalone Ultimate Daredevil series, but it's exciting to see Daredevil in the Ultimate Universe.

New Psylocke Series

Peach Momoko is bringing back Sai in this new five-issue series - SAI: DIMENSIONAL RIVALS! First introduced in Demon Days: X-Men #1 (2021), Sai is a special version of Psylocke that lives in feudal Japan.

It's not just Momoko who will be bringing this story to life—Marvel has confirmed at least five creators to help tell this story. Releasing on January 14, 2026, this is not a comic to be missed."

My Pick of the week

Fantastic Four #4 by Ryan North, Humberto Ramos, Victor Olazaba, and Edgar Delgado is my pick of the week. While it's a very light story, it was exactly what I needed after a busy week—a great self-contained tale focusing on Alicia Grimm with a sci-fi premise that tickles the brain. I also picked up this epic variant celebrating 70 years of the Muppets.
