The Comic Report 11/2/2025
Hey everyone, hope you had a nice Halloween and maybe read a spooky comic or two!
Welcome back to the third installment of The Comic Report, where I share the most exciting news happening in the comic industry along with my personal comic highlights from the week.
Marvels Next Big Event!

Marvel has announced their next big event releasing in June 2026: Armageddon. Written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Valerio Schiti, Marvel is promising this will impact the entire Marvel Universe and change the face of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in a way not seen since Avengers: Disassembled.
The groundwork for Armageddon will be laid in Zdarsky's current excellent Captain America run, as well as through recent developments in the Ultimate Universe. Specifically, Miles Morales returning home with Origin Boxes in Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #5 will play a crucial role in the story. The countdown starts now, so keep an eye on Captain America and the Ultimate titles to catch all the setup!
Brand new Punisher ongoing!

After the success of Punisher: Red Band #1, Benjamin Percy is bringing Frank Castle back for an all-new ongoing series launching in February 2026! Punisher #1 will continue the story from Red Band, with Frank's memory damaged as he hunts for answers and criminals alike. José Luis Soares will be on art duties, bringing what Percy describes as "all the grit and scars and shadows you'd expect from Frank's cracked-window view of the world."
The first arc features the return of Jigsaw, one of Marvel's most terrifying villains, who has The Punisher in his sights. Percy promises this will serve as both a continuation and a fresh jumping-on point for new readers. I haven't had the chance to read the Red Band series yet, but I'll definitely need to catch up before this launches—everything about this sounds incredible!
A New Sorcerer Supreme!

A new Sorcerer Supreme is coming to the Marvel Universe, and it's Wanda Maximoff taking the mantle! Following Victor Von Doom's fall, Scarlet Witch will step into the role this December in Sorcerer Supreme, an ongoing series written by Steve Orlando—who has been writing Wanda for a few years now—with art by Bernard Chang. Russell Dauterman is also returning to design Wanda's new Sorcerer Supreme costume, which looks absolutely stunning.
SORCERER SUPREME releases this December!
DC K.O sells out!

DC K.O. #1 by Scott Snyder and Javi Fernández is going back to press for a second printing following a rapid sellout! The second printing, featuring new covers including a stunning Dan Mora variant showcasing Darkseid's three destroyers, will hit shops on November 26th alongside second printings of Justice League: The Omega Act Special #1 and Titans #28.
This tournament-style event has been absolutely explosive, and if you haven't jumped in yet, now's your chance! The action continues with DC K.O. Knightfight #1 dropping on November 5th and DC K.O. #2 arriving November 26th. Check out my review of this stellar first issue to see why fans are going crazy for this event!
My Pick of the Week

Absolute Batman Annual #1 is my pick of the week, and holy Batman, this was a great read! Three excellent stories are packed into this issue, each showing a different but still extreme side of Absolute Batman. It features a very timely and relevant story tackling white supremacy that will have you on the edge of your seat as Batman comes the closest he's ever been to breaking his no-kill rule.
