The Comic Report 2/8/2026

Happy Sunday and Welcome back to the The Comic Report! Each week, I scour the comic universe to bring you the stories, announcements, and updates that matter most. This week delivers a particularly stacked lineup—from major announcements to creative team reveals that are bringing our favorite characters to life in fresh ways.

Grab your coffee, settle in, and let's break down everything happening in the world of comics!

DSTLRY News

2025 was a tough year for DSTRLY, with significant delays in comic releases. This was mostly due to Diamond Publishing going out of business, which had a large effect on the industry. This week, DSTRLY has confirmed that a significant amount of unreleased books have been indefinitely delayed (Guaranteed not to be cancelled). While very unfortunate, as there were some titles I was very much looking forward to, I hope we get some positive news from DSTRLY later in the year.

Titles affected

  • City Beneath Her Feet #3
  • Endeavour #3
  • Galactic #2
  • Mischief of Magpies #1
  • White Boat #3
A Publishing Update
A Short Publishing Pause and What’s Next Since launching in 2023, DSTLRY has existed to prioritize creators, reward quality, and offer readers something truly exceptional, both in storytelling and presentation. Our first full year in publishing, 2024, produced some truly amazing comics that we’re incredibly proud of.

My Pick of the Week

DC Knightfight #4 was an awesome read. Usually, event tie-ins are solid, but don't have a ton of impact. This one was different! It ties in excellently with DC K.O., but I can also see how they can further develop the concepts and ideas of this story. Awesome read, definitely check out the collected edition!
